The email with instructions and a link to your secret ballot will be sent
from vote@honestballot.com by NOON, Saturday, June 1st.
Electronic voting will remain open through 10:00 AM (MST) on June 22, 2024.
If you do not see the email from vote@honestballot.com BY NOON, and you have already checked your spam/junk folder, please contact Marisa Frantz at electionjudge@iatselocal480.com for assistance in locating your ballot.
REMEMBER: Casting your ballot does not guarantee that your vote will count!
The deadline to be in Good Standing (if you aren’t already) and have your ballot counted is 5:00 PM (MST) on Wednesday, June 19th. You can pay outstanding dues online at local480.com/pay-dues/ or you may pay in person at either of the two office locations below from 9 AM - 5 PM:

Election timeline:
Nominations were opened for this Special Election at the April General Membership Meeting and will remain open until the close of the May General Membership meeting.
To avoid any off-topic interruptions, the Nominations will be opened as an agenda item and held open for nominations only for a limited period at the Chair Person’s discretion, then paused for the remainder of the meetings schedule until un-paused before the assembly’s adjournment to allow more nominations. Nominations will be officially closed at the end of the May meeting.
Nominations will be accepted in writing during the weeks between the April and May General Membership meetings. Any nominations and letters of acceptance should be sent to the judge of elections Marisa Frantz at: electionjudge@iatselocal480.com.
The appointed Tellers are Deziree Harden-Nelson, Thomas Hoover, and Diane Min Fa.
A one-time printed packet of a Candidate’s Campaign literature that is provided by each candidate will be mailed out prior to the opening of the voting period at the Local’s expense. Additionally, all requests made to the Judge of Election by any candidate to distribute campaign literature by mail or otherwise, at the candidate’s own expense, shall be honored.
Notice of the Electronic Voting Period will be sent to the membership within Seven (7) days of the close of Nominations, later followed by the electronic ballot, in accordance with 480 Constitution Article 7, Section 3.
The voting period will remain open until the Election Day, Sunday, June 22nd, 2024.
Candidate eligibility:
Nominees may only accept one nomination at a time and will be listed in that position only. The list of nominees will be available on display during the meeting and once vetted, final candidates will be announced to the membership via email.
As per Local 480 Constitution Article 7, Section 2, all Nominators must be members in good standing.
Per Local 480 Constitution Article 6, Nominees must have been both a member and in continuous good standing for a period of 2 years immediately prior to nomination.
Per the IATSE International Constitution, Article Nineteen, Section 4, to be eligible for elected office, a person shall be actively engaged in the industry within the Local’s jurisdiction and have worked for at least 120 days in the past 3-years.
Please understand that no Nominee is a Candidate until IATSE Local 480 has verified that they have met all eligibility requirements.
