Vision Statement
Hello, my name is Alex Cintron.
Thank you for considering me for the position of I.A.T.S.E. Local 480 Executive Board Member at Large. In currently filling the role of E-Board Member on an interim basis, I look forward to establishing my role through the election process by my Union Brothers and Sisters.
One of my strongest beliefs is that our Board Members can play a transformational role in our Union by asking questions that create a space for deep reflection and strategic change. Not simply responding to matters that are presented and stepping in to deal with a crisis when things become difficult. But becoming an integral part of the development and growth of our Union. Using my voice not only for the current membership but for generations to come.
As a Board Member, I am committed to working hard to ensure that our Union is a place where everyone feels respected, welcomed and valued. I believe that it is important to listen to the concerns of all members and work together to find solutions that benefit everyone. Those that know me will attest that I will constantly and consistently speak on behalf of those I represent, with loyalty, truth, and candor.
With a diverse career background, I believe that I have the experience and skills necessary to make a positive impact on the Union. Throughout my careers I have been able to acquire an extensive background in Film, Governmental Accounting, Financial Management, as well as Project Development and other valuable skills. Through this, I have been able to achieve professional along with personal goals and accomplishments. My abilities to communicate both in Spanish as well as English, collaborate with teams, and lead while staying flexible have allowed me to gain the respect and trust of film crews, customers, co-workers, as well as superiors. I believe my diverse background including navigating both the corporate and Governmental worlds, will serve our Union. Having the insight on ways to navigate the diverse entities our Union interacts with.
If elected, I will work to promote the interests of our Union and its members. I will be a strong advocate for the needs of our Union and will work to ensure that all members are treated equally, and with respect.
